SeaTac. Waiting for our baggage. Which, due to a flight snafu, may or may not be in Seattle, as opposed to Borneo.

When doing "street photography," you have to hold the damn camera still!

All right, that's good enough. I'll quit pointing this thing at them.

Our SeaTac hotel. Note the stylish Peter Storm fleece (from England via my in-laws), the pants from who knows where, and the smartwool socks. I'm on an every-twenty-minute schedule for a particular task, while Karen is able to sleep. I'm not in the least bit jealous, nope....

At the Seattle Aquarium, where we are being guided by our expert host Mark. He used to be a volunteer diver at this aquarium and dove on the reef tank. So he knows a thing or two about this place.

It is not possible to get a good photo of jellyfish in this place.

Hmmm. Or is it?

Mark's dive venue.

The Puget Sound native tank. Included some very tasty looking salmon, halibut, and other interesting creatures.

Mark, Emily, Cheryl, and Karen looking at the fur seals.

Right outside the aquarium.

"Get that camera out of my face."

Looking at gear for our planned 2004 BWCA/Quetico cruise, at the REI flagship store. Whooohoo!

"I'm not buying a word of this, Mark...."

There is no place in Seattle where you can get a shot of the Space Needle without having electric lines in the way.

Interior of Feathered Friends, the famous and very highly regarded down gearmaker. It sits in the shadow of REI.

Feathered Friends.

REI's flagship store. Part of it, anyway.

"Get that camera out of my face."

"I thought I told you to get that camera out of my face!"

Emily is not picking her nose, honest. And Karen is not trying to identify that anomalous source of bright light in the sky.
