Notes:
By Your Design (MODAS): A few weeks after the article appeared, the web site that the article mentioned disappeared. Here is the new web site for this software.
Cartes Du Ciel: Just after this review was published, Cartes du Ciel released in a new version. Very embarassing! Many of the things I didn't like about the software were changed for the better, so check it out.
Saturn Ring Gap Nomenclature: This monograph is no longer available because it is superseded by Thomas Dobbins' and Bill Sheehan's much more up to date and thorough article in Sky & Telescope called Beyond the Dawes Limit: Observing Saturn's Ring Divisions, November 2000.
This Rings of Confusion: This article exists in two forms - as an article by me, and an article of the same name based on one of my observing reports by John Glidwell. Both articles were distributed for free use to about 150 astronomy club newsletter editors, and were stored in an RDBMS for this purpose. The author and editor relationships were corrupted and, unbeknownst to us at the time, the articles were once or twice distributed under each others' names.
